OT- Hi Tom, It's difficult to think positively in this environment and I'm afraid that I overreact to cavalier comments such as "No one cares" or "No big deal". We HAVE to care. And we have to overcome this reluctance to judge lest we be judged. Somehow we have come to equate the expectation of moral behavior with a presumption that those expecting it believe they are perfect, which is ridiculous. We try-it's all we can do, and only by enforcing certain standards can we hope to maintain any standards at all. So I guess that places us in the position --as Hyde and Livingston have been-- of seeming to be hypocrites, when the issue is not that of "he who is without sin", but of holding accountable those who violate the standards and honor of their office and our courts.
