RE: Short Confirmation On CMGI Shares I use a execution system that permits be to buy or sell shares with the touch of a key on a remote basis. It is not required that I receive a confirmation of short from by broker. They publish a list of stocks that are not available to short each day and it it my responsibility to check that list before I enter the trade. When Joe indicated he shorted the shares, I did not give it any thought....I just shorted the shares also. Joe's firm obviously had the shares available in their stock loan department and mine did not. My Loss.
