Positive Industry Response to ViewCall America's On-TV Service at Winter Consumer Electronics Show
03:24 p.m. Jan 16, 1997 EST

ATLANTA, Jan. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- ViewCall America received an overwhelming "thumbs up" from the consumer electronics industry when it
demonstrated its On-TV(TM) service, the personal Internet TV channel, at the Winter Consumer Electronics Show(CES) in Las Vegas, N.V., this month.
ViewCall announced a plethora of strategic relationships with leading hardware, browser, and content providers at the show, further strengthening its position
as a major player in the Internet television market.

Several leading consumer electronics companies demonstrated ViewCall's On-TV at the show, including Hitachi Home Electronics (America), Inc. and Sanyo
Electronic Co., Ltd. Sega of America demonstrated the On-TV service on the Sega Saturn Net Link at a crowded press conference, announcing availability
of On-TV as the first premium entertainment channel on the Net Link beginning January 27. ViewCall America had previously announced that On-TV would
be available through Mitsubishi Consumer Electronics America's DiamondWeb(TM) TVs and Boca Research's low cost set top device.

Spyglass, Inc. and ViewCall announced that Spyglass Internet device browsers will fully support ViewCall's On-TV and that the award-winning SurfWatch
parental screening software from Spyglass would be included in On-TV.

Alan McKeon, President and CEO of ViewCall America, commented, "We were delighted by the overwhelmingly positive response we received from
partners, press and potential On-TV viewers at CES. In addition to a host of articles in various daily newspapers and weekly trade publications, On-TV
garnered the interest of national television as well, including NBC, CNBC, CBS, CNN, and FOX. This industry endorsement further validates our approach
of providing a personal Internet TV channel, a far more satisfying experience than just web surfing on the TV as promoted by some of our competitors."

In addition to hardware partners, a robust line up of well known content providers was revealed at CES that will deliver their content directly to On-TV's
various channels.

ViewCall also announced the creation of sister company ViewCall Canada, a joint venture between ViewCall America, Inc. and MTS Advanced, Inc., a
subsidiary of Canada's Manitoba Telecom Services, Inc.

On-TV is the personal Internet TV channel that keeps viewers in touch through e-mail, information tailored to viewer needs, and general web access. On-TV
