Used to throw out dividend increases every year. They haven't done this for a few years. The yield is getting to close to 4% for comfort. many people still consider the phone companies a dividend play. I love the long term prospects on GTE, and it is one of the core holdings in my portfolio, but that dividend yield is starting to get to me.
