I think VFI would continue the positive trend with good
earnings (1 or 2c above the estimated 42c/sh), positive
comments, and analyst upgrades because of following reasons:

1) Last quarter most segments had double-digit growth and
results were brought down by slow-down in Mexico. This
quarter should bring the company back to the growth-path.

2) There will be positive comments about Smart-cards and
it's growth potential.

3) Alliances like InfoGear, WebTV should enhance position
in Internet Commerce. Already companies like Microsoft,
Oracle, and HP have decided to bundle Verifone technology.
At&T and IBM are no match to these fast-moving companies
and should fall in line soon.

4) Before Q3 there was insider-selling (including CEO Tyabji)
at $48 level indicating eminent problem. No such selling
this time at $30-34 levels.

5) If Q4 earnings are decent (in line or higher) the analysts
would revert the downgrades and money will flow back in.

Do you guys agree with this reasoning?
