for DDI through today's close, using last Dec 31 as the starting value.

I guess what you are asking is to start the DDI over again using today's closing values. My tendancy is to let it play out for the rest of the year and start over with year-end values, consistent with what I did last year. At that time I'll replace IPMCF with MGAU so that the index will consist of CHIP, GPGI, MGAU, MXAM and NAXOF. If anything dramatic happens in the next two weeks, I'll reconsider the starting point for the index.
