bp, <<and we'll see just how irrelevant this president is to your 401K>> How true...Clinton has been irrelevant in just about every way as president, which is why the republicans have shown so little interest in impeaching him. Once Clinton's gone we can get back to sound republican economic principles: (1) blaming "gridlock" for an unwillingness and inability to propose and pass balanced budgets, (2) the elimination of bothersome government regulation, such as banking regulations prohibiting banks from "investing" federally insured deposits in securities such as YHOO and AMZN, and (3)other measures designed to bring to the American people all of the benefits of unfettered capitalism, as enjoyed by the peoples of Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and an ever growing list of happy nations.
