Hey, can you answer this for me? I have an old western digital drive and I just bought a Quantum drive which I am trying to attach to the same IDE controller as the WD. Somehow none of them are functioning on that same controller. Yet if I try either one by itself on that controller they work fine, therefore both of my drives are OK. I swapped cables, try the other IDE controller, same result!! Is there any issues that you know of having both these different brands on the same controller?? If there is, I will stop pulling my hair out! Please help!
