*****TO ALL IMPORTANT***************
Each league that i know of..(and we have national travel teams in our league and i am a coach on two of those teams, so i get to know people from leagues from all over the country),charges a certain league sign-up fee, from 40- 100 dollars, plus each child is required to do a fundraiser to create additional funds, so most of them if not all sells candy...they buy a box of 40 bars for 20 bux and sell them for a buck each to earn 20 bux...so they essentially earn 20 bux for the league..what really happens though is the parents bring the candy home and the kids eat it and the parents are stuck for the cash...its real hard to eat a music card, so they will sell them...in almost allmost evey league i know the kids must make a mandatory 20-40 dollars in fundraising money( some leagues like Toms River, the world champs of LL must make a 100 plus) or they dont get there uniform and are not allowed to play...sounds harsh, but you do get parents that think youth sports is a baby sitting service and cant be bothered helping, so we kinda nudge them a little...in a non-profit like this everbody must help out or the organizatiion will fail to meet it monetary requirements and kids are the ones to suffer...so every one usually helps out and kids get to play...what i will do and im sure every other league president will do with the card as a fundraiser is that when the fundraising requirement is met, any profits from card sales will go to the child who sells more than his requirement, thus giving him or her a profit that will cover there original sign-up fee and plus they will get to keep anything extra that they make...trust me...a lot of people have two to three kids in the league and this will be a big thing for them...it essentially lets there kids play for free..i know people who will take this a step further and try to make a living out of it..i hope they make millions..LOL...oh..yea..what about all those reloads??? or CD and Tape sales??...this is big...REAL BIG!!!
