[Ascend, one stop shopping?]

Hi bill,

>> Does everyone understand the nice solution that ASND will have. A single unit that will
support Analog/ISDN/IDSL/ADSL calls in a single Max unit that sits in the RBOCs
CO. Sounds like a winner to me... until later..

If we believe Pac Bell's CEO --> "128Kbps is not enough", Analog/ISDN/IDSL will not be much of an advantage as we move forward (shrinking market). Why support it? Let the ISP's have it.

Can the Ascend's TNT system handle Internet and Video? Video is not big here in the US but it is big with the rest of the world --> 50% of Ascends customers. How does one Phase Lock to a video stream through a TNT (a time muxed system)? ADSL offers new services that may not have been tought of when the TNT was designed.

Food for thought
