I believe you're upset about sliming people who commit adultery being disgusting or the opposite meaning? Either way, lets get a few things straight.

First, consenting adulterous sex has and will continue to flourish as it always has. Mankind tries to write laws on this, but its nature that calls the shots. This will be true until science invents the 100% loyalty pill, the 100% dysfunction pill, or until Jerry Falwell's genes proliferate the earth in a kind of devolution of the species.

No one should have to lie about such things but in our desire to control and punish each other sex has become the ideal whipping post. This has been true through the ages, its the raw subplot for most of our actions in life.

When we like it, sex is glorious, even when its not done with honor and dignity in society's eyes. Romeo and Juliet was a story of illegal love (forbidden love if you want to hold to the romantic interpretation). Her family wanted Romeo punished and surely would have if they had caught him.

When we don't like sex, we feel used, abused, sullied, insulted, outraged and unappreciated. Jones didn't like what Clinton did. He should have apologized for his crude behavior. Jones' anger was backed and encouraged by Clinton's enemies. She became the key to getting him where all else failed. Without their aid to Jones we wouldn't be here. Is this right?

It doesn't matter. Clinton screwed up a second and third time lying about sex. Its a poor lawyer who lies in court, an even worse lawyer who lies in a grand jury. In part he's on trial for incompetence.

All of Clinton's current problems stem from those lies. He is being hung for many reasons, but his pants down makes it easier. As said earlier, sex is the ideal whipping post. It makes us emotional and stirs the meanest side of our feelings distorting logic.

There's nothing worse, it strikes fear and loathing. If there were evidence Sadamm was a sex maniac we'd have invaded his palaces long ago and shot him on the spot. That he's only a murderer, dictator and war monger gives him a second chance and a third and fourth.

The Congressmen speaking for impeachment do so with the violence and rightness of immorality being hunted down and caught. They feel validated that a sin is being fixed. Listen to the rhetoric of adults talking about 'their children' and the bad man President. They're protecting their families from the rougue. Yes, its about sex, though we've cloaked it in other language and legalisms that wouldn't hold up if the subject of lying had been something less visceral.
