Bill, maybe I can clarify the Java incompatibility,

We are currently discussing SRCM's LocalSource website, which seems to be in some sort of trial with DigitalCity/AOL. I agree with you that Java is just a tool in that setting, and they really don't need it. But, I think it likely they will use it.

But, what Pluvia was referring to was Java compatibility with SRCM's virtual modem for use in internet over cable. The virtual modem is two components, software that goes in a digital set-top box, and a server at the cable head-end. The server actually accesses the internet and sends what is essentially a screen shot to the set-top box for display on the TV. The incompatibility that Pluvia referred to is the virtual modem's ability to correctly access websites using Java.
