I have seen the ten-pack cartons stock for all four Wal-Mart Flavors and have had the pleasure of ripping and sipping both the Orange and Fruit Punch Flavors from the Wal-Mart run. I got these from Jon at the RIBA conference a couple of weeks ago in San Francisco. Believe me, this product is very real. The package looks great, works great and my kids say it tastes great.

I am looking at a filled pouch that I have in my office now and have it sitting next to a Capri-Sun pouch. Both pouches are made of foil of what appears to be the same gauge and are thus both opaque. TCBG's Wal-Mart package is much more colorful, has no exposed silver foil, and the artwork is really geared at kids. The Wal-Mart package is slightly taller and tapered at the top and looks better and more modern than the Capri-Sun package. This is actually kind of funny because in the Kraft settlement, Kraft insisted that TCBG change their pouch design, forcing the tapered top. Turns out, it looks better than Capri-Suns flat squared off design!

The volume is the same as Capri-Sun, 6.75 oz. It is quite easy to tear off the top of the TCBG pouch (either partially or all the way, it makes no difference since it's sealed everywhere except where the straw is) and pull out the straw. "Rip it! Sip it!" works.

I also have a filled BrainForest pouch. Although the package is physically the same, it has entirely different artwork that I have been told we will be seeing much more of. This artwork, with the "Brain Dude" looks pretty cool. Kids are gonna love it too. My guess (and hope) is that this package design will be adopted as a private label by another major chain.

Based on an extensive amount of research, I have increased my position in TCBG substantially and am looking forward to a long run up.
