Do you mean "am I afraid of this?".......as big brother....people taking my prints off of a toilet seat? No.....I think that is hogwash. I don't think Big Brother exists. I think our government is in a state of kaos most of the time......and is incapable of organizing into anything that would resemble Big Brother. I think telemarketers (who call 8 times per evening) are much more of a threat to our freedom and quality of life. A few religions are scary to me also.

Or....do you mean as competition for IDX?....IDX going down the drain?

I'm not sure I follow. IDX makes the live scan machines for law enforcement data capture.....not the afis. The more afis applications...the better for IDX.

I believe your MIT article speaks of live scan and the expansion of afis. This is very good for IDX.......and police departments. Every police department...even very small ones, should be live scan ready. They really need to know who they have in custody. The government is paying for a bunch of this stuff right now. How can police do their jobs without live scan?

ps. Take a deep breath...Big difference between live scan and Bio-ID....You are showing that the industry is exploding....and IDX is the biggest pure play in it. Sounds OK to me.
