Richard, is it time to nominate favorite biotechs for "appreciation" in '99? I am fascinated by the "bashing" of biotechs in the late summer months, and the corresponding pop to the upside. When the Business Week on biotechs appeared, trumpeting the advent of the age of biotechnology, the biotech market tanked. Now, we have the Darwinian call to arms, that only the strong will survive, and many biotechs are showing excellent relative strength. I am looking at the likes of ONXX, ABSC, SIBI, OSIP, ARQL, ARIA, and BTRN as fallen angels. Tax selling will shortly abate. H&Q is soon upon us. Where would you place your bets? |
