But we aren't any worse than we've always been. A Sunday's pleasant entertainment during the Civil War saw the people of DC heading out to watch the battle from a short distance away---sort of the 19th century Sunday Afternoon football. I told Dan last night that instead of our annual SuperBowl party we could have a Desert Fox Party and sit around cheering for the missiles.
Like you, every time there is a hit, I get all shaky thinking about those poor ignorant people hiding and praying all night long, not having any idea of what's really going on, knowing only that for some reason Satanic America is bombing them. Yet, I'm watching more TV than I ever do--hours of it--
YOU are worried about that cute girl; I'm concerned that I'll have to see that goodlooking young man on top of the Dept of Information get blown to bits. I suppose it's more of our fascination with our own mortality that we watch.
