I am not familiar with the details here. In a tender offer you get either shares of the buying company or cash for the value of your shares. Say the tender offer is over $ 5 and you call 5000 shares of MCDY your own. You'll receive shares of the new company, $ 25 000 worth, or you'll be credited $ 25000 to your brocker account for your existing 5000 MCDY shares.
Any news on MCDY. I though they didn't accepted the buy out.
