<OT> I'm upset over the Republican back-peddling. If I'm not mistaken, they said they would not launch an impeachment debate in the House if an attack was launched on Iraq. I believe their real motivation is to get Clinton to resign before the two-year anniversary of Clinton's term. That way, Gore could only serve 6 years, rather than 10. Clinton is a fighter, and he will not resign.

The impeachment proceedings have been a farce. House members claimed to be voting their consciences, yet the vote will be almost exclusively along partisan lines. People announced their votes before they even heard the evidence. This is true of both sides of the aisle.

The only people I will be convinced are honorable will be those who cross party lines. While the Democrats are just as guilty as the Republicans in keeping this partisan, I can't say I blame them -- they have most of the Constitutional scholars on their side.

It will be a long time before I vote for a Republican again. If I don't like the Democratic candidate in a race, I won't vote in that particular race. I'll vote Democrat in all the others.
