INTERNET IPO'S DONE FOR YEAR...

"The IPO of content aggregator InfoSpace.com (INSP) on Tuesday marked the end of the Internet IPO season for 1998. InfoSpace.com closed up 33% on its first day of trading. While it wasn't a phenomenal first day gain for an Internet issue, the company had raised their offering price to $15 vs. an original $10 target and added an additional one million shares. On Friday, shares in InfoSpace.com surged to close at $37 3/8. We will have to wait until early 1999 to see the planned IPO's of women's online community iVillage and financial news site CBS Marketwatch.com..."
