Bob, interesting post. I have a theory which seems on the surface simplistic but try this one out... Who are the media liberals and media elite and where do they come from? I have seen a couple of surveys regarding this issue. Most of them are white, upper class and graduate from Ivy league schools. Thinking back to when I was a teenager, what type of person attended the Ivy league schools? First of all you had to do well in school in order to be accepted. So what type of person does well in high school? This is a little tough but I'll give it a shot anyway... The geeks vs the jocks. Of course this isn't always the case but on average they were not the athletic types. Not being the athletic types they may have had difficulty fitting in, finding girls and such. Nothing wrong with that, it's just the way it is as a teenager. After a time some tend to become bitter, they resent the athletic types getting all the girls. Slacking off in school and still passing. Attending college follows this same path, though at a less painful pace. So they focus on school which is fine. However, they develop a mindset which goes something like this. These people are morons. I can out think, out plan and know far better what is good for those idiots. The philosophy of marxism and social planning play perfectly into these individuals. Some of these people become reporters. And their reporting follows this same mindset. They truly believe they can do more with our money than we can. It's up to them to save us from ourselves. We must have huge social safety net programs, government day care, social security and such, because we the jocks and others are too stupid to run our owns lives and determine our own destiny! Some like Bill Clinton try and relive their youth and get all the babes they can. So we have the circus we do in Washington because of it. This partly explains why most of the athletes who go into politics are Republican or independent. The other issue is how these minds are twisted in Ivy league schools. The liberal ideological push in higher education is beyond belief. If I hadn't wanted to go back again to further my education I would not have believed it was so profound. Nearly every college professor I have had is a liberal. And they just can't help but share their belief's in the classroom. To save us from our own independent minds. I enjoy challenging them by asking one simple question. How do you know, what you know? Typically none of them can remember one study one which supports their belief's. :-) Here is a test for any reporters out there. Go around the newsroom and try and find as many jocks who grew up in the inner city (like myself) as you can. :-) Michael
