Cohen contradicted him the same day, saying the bombing would go on indefinitely. All the experts on the news were saying this would have little impact on Iraq's weapons facilities. Either Clinton's trying to kill Saddam's army or Saddam himself. Also, the UN inspection programs been halted indefinitely and the US may have to occupy the area for a long time with periodic bombings. Clinton is also leaving the sanctions in tact. It'll be up to the next administration to repair relations with the other countries.
