Barbara, Do yourself a favor and read the articles Chris Byron has written on Barnes & Noble. Go to the following link: observer.com Search for "Back of the Envelope" articles. He's written on the company twice recently, the first time bearishly on 10/26/98, and much more positively on 11/23/98. Required reading if you're a shareholder or a prospective one. Enjoy. Bruce
