You referenced the Constitution obliquely though, since it is our only legal source document from which impeachment can arise. By "embellishing" with the comments that the high crimes and misdemeanors were impeachable if they were "commissioned by the president in the commission of his duties" you did violence to the argument.
As a journalist, one would think that you should understand the importance of framing the debate within the parameters of FACT.
Just because you aren't writing here as a journalist doesn't mean that you should be given a pass for misstating the facts. I only pointed it out because for some strange reason I normally would hold a journalist to a higher standard of stating determinant facts, but more and more I see what a fallacy that is.
As far as my "anonymous perch" is concerned, let me just tell you that I had been posting to SI for over a year with my actual name and it wasn't until I started getting threats because of my views on Clinton that I decided to take my name off the screen. I mean with guys like LesX on this board and the Alec Baldwins of the world advocating the death of Clintons critics, it just seems prudent.
As far as what I do for a living, it's really none of your business, but I will simply say that I, like you, am an average citizen. I am the co-owner of a smaller privately held corporation that does environmental consulting and mitigation work. And my connection to this debate is just as valid as yours or anyone else's. I vote, pay my taxes, and am a registered independent, thus I do not work for any "political organizations" , and ya know the more I think about it, your questions really do make you sound like some kind of Nazi or how 'bout good ole Joe McCarthy.
Your continual ranting against the prosecutor in this case brings to mind the mentality of some low life mafioso boss trying to beat the rap. As an average citizen, I find it absolutely fantastic that a lowly American citizen of humble origins can take on the POTUS and get her day in court, the fact that we have a perjurer and obstructor of justice in the WH is what is truly lamentable in this situation and one can only hope that he will be held accountable to the oath that he swore to when he was elected.
