dummy LOL sorry, stockdummy shark formations are very short term (3 day) symetrical triangles. A shark buy is a close higher than the first day of the triangle, a shark short is a close lower than the first day of the triangle. It must happen within 25 days of the shark formation to hit scan. There has been much discussion involving the shark formation on this thread over the past few months. May want to do a text search for a more indepth answer to your question. Basically it is a formation signal and other forms of TA are needed to verify the validity of the signal. In other words, it is a starting point. ht david
