You've got it right. The voters in the last election should have sent a big enough clue to the far right... but no... their agenda is all they have and they will lose big time in the next election. Regardless of the outcome of the impeachment process, I believe we're seeing the demise of the Republican party. All they have now is their hypocritical moralism, anyways. Both parties are conservative with regards to spending today. And we can thank the Republicans for that. I believe this whole process will ultimately drive the fracturing of politics into lots of little parties, perhaps like Germany and France have today. Eco-parties, far-right, that and the Democrats. Party loyalty died with this impeachment charade. JH
