When it stops raining run to the nearest car park. By counting the number of dry patches you can work out how many cars have left the car park since the rain stopped.

Similarly, by looking underneath all the cars and counting the number of vehicles with wet tarmac below them you can work out how many cars have arrived since the rain stopped.

The total of the two figures represents the net traffic flow through the car park's 'Entrance/Exit' in the moments since precipitation ceased.

Unfortunately, any car which arrived after the rain stopped, and parked on a recently vacated dry space, would not be accountable by this method.
