No Floppy - So Zip Or LS120?

appleinsider.com

>>
So as you've noticed from the specs list, there is no floppy drive in the Yosemite models. The floppy is slow, often rarely used, and well... it is slow! One of the most common questions has been whether or not these machines with ship with a removable media drive, and if so which one?

It looks as if Apple has decided on the Zip Drive as opposed to the LS120. Several sources have reported that their 300 and 350MHz Yosemite test units include a built in Zip Drive. On the other hand, sources with the high-end 400MHz unit claim that there is definitely no Zip Drive present in their machine. With this in mind, Apple will apparently offer a Zip Drive on some (if not all) configurations, and of course the option will be via Apple's Built To Order online store. Which brings us to our next topic.<<
