<...But you know what? I don't care if Clinton DID perjure himself, because guess what? That's not the point. And what exactly he did with Miss Lewinsky or anyone else is not the point, either. The point is that it is time to move on. And I have yet to hear or see one good, logical reason why we should not.>
Aahh Rose,
So, you think that it doesn't matter that Slick perjured himself. You believe that we the people, and the Senate, and the House should just "move on" to other, more important matters and leave the Slicks alone; that it's not that important, huh ?
Well, lets see... playing by your (and Slick's) new rules, lets say we assign.. er, 20, more or less... as the number number of times Slick lied under oath. We'll call them "mulligans", since it's not really that important... and the Prez sanctions it all, anyway.
So then, if the rest of us ever have to appear as a witness in court, we'll each have about 20 mulligans to use up before we have to start worrying about really telling the truth. Hey, this could REALLY get interesting ! Just think: 20 mulligans, times 250 million of us = about 5 Billion total mulligans. Just think how much confusion THAT would cause in the justice system ! Wouldn't that be awesome, or what ? And, it would make the Slicks SO PROUD to think that THEY were the ones that revolutionized this nation's criminal justice system.
WOW, what a legacy !
