Actually I'm really familiar with them, saw Lexmark when it spun off, saw a great buying point, but was margined about 101% at the time.
Let's hope that papa bigblue has earnings that are as good (AND a good conf. call. They seem to be the new "thing"that really counts)
IBM has made a good portion of this Market the bull that it is. I was looking at the last couple real RAGING BULLruns and it was really all IBM. Out of 30 stocks on the Dow IBM was responsible for about half the points. In fact last year at one point after IBM had gone to 80ish then ran to 125ish it was responsible for about 75% of the DOW gains.
What was amazing to me was nobody seemed to notice. I told my broker (back before I went online-nomo steeking broker now)and he was real surprised. Said something like "Oh yeah, it is isn't it. Hmmm, I hadn't noticed."
DUHHHH!!!It was at that moment I realized it was time to go out on my own.
ANYWAY. I think IBM will come in fine and as long as nothing dire is said in the CALL, it should boost all the techs and the general market as well.
If USRX comes in good. (I think they will) and has a good (GREAT?) conf. call, we SHOULD be finally be rewarded for our patience.
Chartwise if we can smash through that 80-82 level it's off to the races.
Actually I'm thinking NEXT Q could be trouble. 56x2 should be fully deployed, great things will be expected, stock price COULD be overextended by then because of too MUCH good news.
They'll have to come in with a bang-up number. I bet we get one of those outrageous "whisper numbers" and we damn well better beat it.
