I agree with you Phil that there is huge potential for growth in the internet industry. But that does not necessarily translate into growth in revenues and earnings, especially for individual companies. There may be more eyes on the internet, but what will they buy? How successful is advertising on the net? Will advertising rates/revenues grow? Might the rates diminish? Will there be more and more competitors? Are there any barriers to entry? Any one of the above questions answered in the wrong direction can derail this train. Perhaps everything goes smoothly. I just remember what a great thing the Home Shopping Network was supposed to be.
