Napier Receives Industrial Order from ICI
Canada and Updates Internal Progress in
Marine Market

VANCOUVER, BC -- Napier International Technologies Inc. (NIR.TSE) is pleased to report that it has received the initial stocking order from ICI Canada Inc. for the first phase distribution of Napier's SV-35A environmentally friendly industrial grade coatings remover.

After completing exhaustive product performance studies and a review of the environmental friendly claims and formulations of Napier, ICI has determined that they will market the SV-35A product under the ICI Devoe label and product name Hydrostrip 502. With ICI as one of the largest paint and coatings companies in the world, this endorsement will carry significant credibility for all of Napier's future marketing efforts.

For proprietary reasons ICI has specifically requested that details of the order and the distribution process be held confidential. However, Terry Wiseman, Industrial Sales Manager for ICI Canada has been kind enough to provide us with the following statement:

"After documenting a wide variety of case histories for product
effectiveness ICI Devoe Coatings has determined that Napier's
coatings lifters can play a significant problem solving role for
regular maintenance of challenging projects such as the inside of
refineries, manufacturing plants, mill facilities, and environmentally
sensitive regions. With numerous advantages including direct cost
savings, no substrate damage and reduced clean-up costs, the
Hydrostrip 502 has proven to be a safe, effective alternative to using
hazardous chemical strippers and sand blasting in many circumstances."

Rigorous schedules for presentation of educational seminars have already been initiated to familiarize a national sales force with the techniques and benefits of using the Hydrostrip 502 coatings lifter.

After presentations in four major U.S. centers requests for access to the product were immediate. Although details for distributing product into the U.S. market are still under discussion, interest level is high.

This earlier than expected exposure to the U.S. market increases significantly management's volume expectations for 1999 and beyond. Napier has additionally received preliminary indications that ICI Europe is interested in further distribution of Napier's product. Discussions for this opportunity will continue in early 1999.

Momentum Gaining for Marine Market

During the last several months Napier has initiated a more aggressive drive into the marine market through the hiring of Rob Gray, Sales Manager for marine applications. The distribution network has increased significantly during this time period as several major marine distributors have already been brought on board. The distributors which have placed initial orders include Paynes Marine Supply and Western Marine Distributors for distribution in Canada, Sfvendsen's Marine in San Francisco and San Diego Marine Exchange. The latter two distributors are two of the largest marine distributors on the west coast of Continental USA.
