Interestingly, eBay is now allowing auctions to go on for up to 14 days.

This will inflate the auction count.

However, once it has been going for a while, it will be the growth rate in which we are primarily interested.

I am surprised that eBay is not yet allowing for one day auctions. I would think this would be fast money for them, and would be beneficial to both sellers (who want to sell quickly) and buyers (who just have to have it now).
