Sentiment, whether of the survey type or of the market type, seems to be so important that I am amazed that this site is so dead.

My own work involves a combination of OEX/CBOE put/call volume, open interest, and VIX. On 27 November the indicator reached a reversal zone ("overbought"), and did so again on 17 December ("oversold").

I am primarily a technical analyst, so i do not read Barron's on a regular basis. The only survey type sentiment reading I see is that of AAII which I normally see a week late.

I have done some observations--hate to call it work so far--on anecdotal emotional idicators.

I would be happy to exchange ideas or even to try to recruit new members here.

A Happy Solstice to you!
