The issue is as follows. Until approximately 3:25 pm, the volume was 4.8M and the stock price was 40 plus or minus a quarter. On the remaining 900K, the price dropped to 35 3/4 before recovering to 36 9/16 . I've been playing the market for quite a while so I've seen a lot, but this type of action is new to me. I don't buy the momentum theory nor the fact that the buyers just went puff. Why didn't the sellers go puff? The business about the weekend coming up is also bologna. My feeling is that the situation with the shorters remains unresolved. Until that massive number of shorts does not decrease, this stock has an upward limit that it will not break. It is also painfully obvious that the shorters are very, very powerful, not little fish like we.
