Special characters like ® or ê or µ can be found on the windows desktop. Click on Programs, Accessories, and Character Map. The Character Map will display 224 characters for any given font. If you click on a character, the code is given in the lower right corner of the window. For example, the code will require that the NUM lock key be on, and the numbers entered on the pad, not at the top of the keyboard. The character µ is the Alt key plus 0181 on the keypad. The character ® is Alt key plus 0174 on the keypad. So, have fun! Info is also under Help-Index-Characters in windows. --just call me ®
