[Debate 2]

Certainly Amati will go after any company that blatantly infringes on the patents. But what if an Aware can successfully produce DMT equipment without infringing the patents?

I believe Pat once stated in one of her many posts that Amati has an ace up its sleeve. Basically, its not enough to just have standard DMT, but to have it working to perfection you must come back to Amati and license its proprietary technology.

Amati may just let these companies wallow in their future of ADSL implementation that resembles ISDN rollouts, ie. configuration nightmares where nothing works, etc.
