I realize CSCO and Intel are dominant companies in their industry. My problem with their PEs (especially Cisco) is that they can't "hook" in customers like Microsoft can. That is, they don't have a USER INTERFACE. If you replace the hardware of either company, users will not really be affected - But if you change software(MSFT), users have some training time to invest.
This is why I find it hard to invest long term in CSCO but short term I am still looking for my opportunity. IF Nortel networks for example, gets aggressive in their marketing , Cisco will suffer from this pricing pressure resulting in a reduced growth rate (not yet but maybe a few quarters from now). This probably won't happen to CSCO or INTEL but I have to say that MSFT is definately more protected from competition in their businesses.

Don't get me wrong, I think these stocks are all moving MUCH HIGHER in the next month or two. I am justifying why I prefer MSFT over them. I will move money into these two companies though.
