The other thing about Livingston resigning was that they found that his original disclosure of the affairs turned out to be playing with words in the same manner as Clinton. It raised as many questions as Clinton's "denials" did. I don't see why he resigned as a representative, but I understand he needed to quit the speakership.

As for Clinton, there is the point of low also. He should've just confessed back in January/February and no one would've cared. I doubt it would have affected the outcome of the Jones trial.
