OFF TOPIC -- Creative Labs Video Blaster Webcam II

I was in a CompUSA in Atlanta Georgia and saw the Webcam on sale for $69.99 and with the $30 rebate the net price is only $39.99. Does anyone know why this product is selling so cheap compared to competition? Is there a big technological difference? Is there a new technology that is coming out?
