Ben Ezra, Weinstein and Company, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BNEZ - news) announced today that it has signed a joint venture marketing, sales and distribution agreement with Financial Resource Group, Inc. (''FRG''). FRG will be a major force when it comes to assisting America's fastest growing companies. Under the agreement, the Company's software will be marketed and distributed by FRG in conjunction with certain of FRG's own software. ''This is the deal we have been striving for,'' said CEO and President Jack Ben Ezra. ''Having our software associated with and promoted by FRG is a tremendous asset.'' This agreement will provide an unprecedented visibility to the company and represents the first marketing sales and distribution breakthrough of significant magnitude. The first product to be offered will be the Corporate Liquidity Kit that will combine CapScape Financial (www.benez.com) and Private Placement Master with existing software for business plans.
FRG provides value-based financial advice and services typical of investment banking companies, excluding underwriting. FRG has entered into an agreement with the consulting group of Inc. Business Resources (a division of Goldhirsh Group Inc, the publisher of Inc. magazine) (www.inc.com) which, effective October 1, 1998, will make FRG its exclusive licensee for the provision of such advice and services.
''The joint marketing agreement, together with the acquisitions announced in February, and March are important milestones in the Company's strategic plan,'' Dr. Harold Clark, marketing advisor to the Board of Directors and former President of IngramMicro, the world's largest computer products distributor. Under the terms of the contract, FRG will assume responsibility for packaging, advertising and promotion, and production of units. Ben Ezra, Weinstein and Company will provide technical support.
''With the agreement in place with Ben Ezra, Weinstein, we can provide high-quality financial software products to companies that want to self-start their way to raising capital or learn about investing in the market,'' said Julian Smerkovitz, President of FRG.
''This is only the first of several joint ventures and marketing alliances that we hope to announce in the next few months, which should allow us to reach our goal of 700,000 units in the coming twelve months,'' said Ben Ezra.
''All of our corporate and personal financial software are candidates for joint marketing and distribution efforts,'' said Michael Weinstein, Chief Operating Officer. Personal Market Analyst is a multi-media software package that instructs and assists users in understanding how to invest in stocks and mutual funds.
The Corporate Liquidity Kit will be introduced in late summer, and Personal Market Analyst will be in distribution close to that time.
