"Earnings" in Q1 aren't important - revenue growth is, and the Xmas E-commerce shopping frenzy is going to kick those revenues through the roof. How many thousands of people went online this year instead of going to the mall? OK, take a couple of million people at a few hundred dollars each on average. Now you get $600 million in extra E-commerce revenue spread mostly over a few dozen major sites. The first one reports that revenues were up 30% over analysts' expectations and every Internut with a small float and a high short interest goes BOOOOOMMMM!!!!!!! Just my WAG, but I won't be short then.
