They are using the lawsuit as a bargaining tactic. It will probably get settled along with the rest of the issues between Bre-X and their Indonesian "partners."

For what it is worth:
Any fool able to write can file a lawsuit. Put 10,000 monkeys in a room with a bunch of typewriters and, given enough time, one of them is bound to come up with a lawsuit. Whether it has any merit is another matter.

Does anybody have any information to indicate that Walsh was wrong in dismissing the Merukh (or however it's spelled) lawsuit as "frivolous"? If so, let's hear it.
