Re your "Starr got approval for the second set of wiretaps. The original wiretaps by Tripp probably can't be used."

Who approved the second set of wiretaps? Monica Lewinski? The Attorney General of Maryland? I don't think so. If anyone approved them, it was Newt Gingrich. Probably on the legal advise of the Heritage Foundation.

So what did these stalwart defenders of the law do with the original wiretaps, suppress everything that was recorded in them or publish them as soon as they could? They "probably" can't be used... hah!

In any other court in the country the case would be thrown out right then and there and the District Attorney admonished, if not worse.

"Rule of Law" was ignored in Starr's campaign, only to be trotted out later by the Republican sanctimonious hypocrites in the House of Representatives.
