Thank God he avoided the draft. The poor guy does have some morality problems, but at least he educated himself well enough about Vietnam to know that it was wrong. This is not to undermine the boys who had neither the opportunities nor the education to know that we were being lied to about Vietnam. They did what they THOUGHT was right. But WOW, are there a lot of them now who look back on MacNamara the same way those opposed to the war did in the sixties. I could never have voted for Clinton had he not spoken up against that war in some way. And the crime? The crime was sending our innocent young boys off to fight a war that was a lie. Now THAT was a lie, one that kinda overshadows lying about your sex life. Raven - geocities.com
