Hey Michael let me ask you a question. Lets say your 16 year old daughter had sex with a boy after a prom. During the prom the school officials decided there were drugs at the prom and the kids had to go down to the police station and make statements. If asked, how would you feel about your daughters boyfriend if he 1) Told the entire truth, that she and he actually went to a hotel and werent there, or 2) Said that she and he were actually at the prom but didnt see any drugs (which would be a lie)

I realize this is not under oath however lying to a police officer is pretty destructive. Also assume there were other kids in the room when he was questioned so everyone would have heard about your daughters indiscretions.
