Wren,
After five years,I'm still wondering when and if JD's alarmclock
goes off. One thing I have learned from reading Investors Business
Daily is that a stock has to have a story or product to send it higher.
I am concerned the story behind LSI has changed. Many chip maker
stocks are climbing like broadcom,PMC Sierra,Texas Instruments.
LSI has not participated in this semiconductor rally to any great extent
Several of the people working on the design of the play station chip
have started their own company. From reading the lsi thread it appears
lsi will not have as big a part in next generation playstation. Bells are ringing in my head, but I will probably push the snooze alarm until spring.
Some other good advice I read was leading stocks don't correct as much and usually come back to make new highs during rallys.JD
has a few of these like Wcom, SEIC at this time but many struggle
to get back to old highs. These stocks don't appear to be good buy and hold investments given current market uncertainty and global
financial problems.
Good Luck
