<<Don't make it out to be more than it is, the hype over this has the average person who is not a programmer, overreacting.>>

Not my intention; I just like to look at things from all angles. Less chance of missing a key element. On a Y2K scale of 1 - 10 (1 = "No worries, Mate; party on" to 10 = "Save all the skins from roadkill you see to make clothing") I'm probably a solid 3. I expect most significant problems will come from the herd-like reactions of people; runs on gas cans, currency, generators, bailing out of the stock market, etc. All temporary, though. Ever read Charles Mackay's (sp?) Popular Delusions & the Extraordinary Madness of Crowds? Dutch tulip bulbs, South Seas Bubble, Year 1000 ... . (I probably messed that title up a little, no matter.)

Best.
