<I have been seeing ADSL commercials on TV lately.> steve, you just hit the nail on the head. What would keep myself from ordering voice, data & video from a cable Co. One is that not many places offer voice over cable for now. The other is that speed is lowered w/ each neighbor that is added to a cable network which will be worked out in time. The other is a lack of security. Read a few articles on the later & its not even an issue other than what the fcc has layed down so far. One of the reasons the Bells still stall! Notice that Ameritech is very qt. The thing I watch for is video via a phone company & there are few places on this earth that offer that. One of the reasons I still hold this dog is that CP does something that not many can do. Its the network that makes this bi directional or not. Id bet this changes though & I don't count on Wstl's involvement. What they should have done is work on sdsl instead of hdsl but I may be very wrong. Only Wstl & time will tell. Dug
