Plenty. Most of them relate to cost-of-ownership. Fat Clients
have lots of hidden costs which never seem to be accounted for
by PC enthusiasts. However, I believe that IS managers are
smarter than that. They know how much their PC's cost on a per
seat basis. That is the bottom line the NC will need to beat, and
I believe that it will.

Think about it. When you go to buy a car you don't consider the
sticker price minus your BIG discount the dealer promises you as
the total cost of the car, do you? Of course not, all the back-end
costs of owning & operating the car could make you change your mind
about what car to buy & how much to spend. With this in mind, you
could look at the typical PC as your basic Fiat & the NC as your basic
Honda (yeah... Fix It Again, Tony).
