a new name to the internet crowd: Polycom (PLCM) Polycom is the new leader in video and voice conferencing. Started by the founder of Picturetel, has left Picturetel and others in the dust in the last two quarters (exceeded earnings estimates by 100%). AND, the internet kicker is we are quickly moving to video and voice conferencing over IP. They currently sell several IP based products, but the real volume will come in IP video conferencing over private intranets such as many are setting up on Quest's network. This is the explosive element which will kick in later in '99 and help to keep their current run intact beyond 6 - 9 months.
